NEW: Rep. Farley Santos Announced as New Co-Chair of Connecticut Future Caucus

April 23, 2026

HARTFORD, Conn. – Today, Future Caucus announced Rep. Farley Santos, D-Danbury, as co-chair of the Connecticut Future Caucus, joining Rep. Aundré Bumgardner, D-Groton, Sen. Paul Cicarella, R-North Haven, and Rep. Seth Bronko, R-Naugatuck, in leading this cross-partisan coalition of young state legislators. Connecticut is home to one of 36 state Future Caucuses nationwide, each launched and led by lawmakers from both sides of the political aisle.

Since his election in 2022 to represent the state’s 109th District, Santos has quickly emerged as a legislative leader in the Connecticut General Assembly, serving as assistant majority leader and vice chair of the Banking Committee. He also serves on the Veterans’ and Military Affairs Committee, the General Law Committee, and the Government Oversight Committee.

During his first legislative session, Santos helped deliver more than $151 million in support of Danbury Public Schools and several local nonprofit organizations, including funding for the Afghanistan Iraq War Veterans Monument. His leadership, community focus, and record of results made him a natural choice to help guide the Connecticut Future Caucus.

“I’m honored to be named as Democratic co-chair of the Connecticut Future Caucus,” said Rep. Santos. “At a time when people are looking for leaders who can work across the aisle, I’m proud to be part of a movement focused on collaboration over partisanship and am committed to delivering real solutions for the challenges facing our communities.”
