Little Rock, Ark. — The Millennial Action Project formally named its leadership team for the Arkansas Future Caucus. In the 2021-2022 legislative session, Rep. Aaron Pilkington (R-69) and Rep. Jamie Scott (D-37) will co-chair the bipartisan caucus of young lawmakers.

Since its founding in 2017, the Arkansas Future Caucus has connected young lawmakers from across the aisle—lawmakers committed to building a coalition that advances generational change. As part of a network of 30 future caucuses in state legislatures across the country, Reps. Pilkington and Scott will continue the national effort to bridge ideological divides to build a political movement—not in the spirit of any one political party or leader, but in the honest belief that there’s more that unites us than divides us.

“I’m excited to step into this role and help lead the next generation of leaders in Arkansas,” said Rep. Pilkington. “Arkansas has been blessed with so many millennials stepping up to the plate and are committees to building a better Arkansas.”

“With the current state of our country, millennials need to lead and find bipartisan solutions to the challenging issues we are facing during the national crisis affecting our communities,” said Rep. Scott. “I am honored to co-chair this Caucus and represent Arkansas in moving our state forward.”

These are the leaders who are strengthening our political system, and their collective impact has the power to shape Arkansas and our country in 2021 and beyond. With a bold list of legislative priorities ranging from food insecurity to environmental policies reform, the Arkansas Future Caucus will work together to find common-sense policy solutions that are popular, effective, and work for the people of Arkansas.
