Pamela Goldsmith
Senior communications director
Pamela Goldsmith is Senior Communications Director at the Future Caucus. She leads Future Caucus’ press and media operations, providing oversight of the organization’s communications, public relations, digital, and earned media strategies while writing and generating content for its national audiences. She implements strategic communications to advance Future Caucus’ efforts in support of a more functional democracy, propelled by the inclusive and effective leadership of young policymakers.
With extensive experience in government and nonprofit strategic communications, Pamela served eight years as communications director for a government agency in Pennsylvania, managing public affairs. She led communications for organizations including the Milken Institute – managing partnerships with the National Institutes of Health (NIH) and Sloan Kettering Institute – and the National Veterans Legal Services Program, leading public relations and strategic initiatives for the organization’s legislative advocacy and Lawyers Serving Warriors program. Prior to joining Future Caucus, Pamela worked for The Rockefeller Foundation’s Communications, Policy, and Advocacy team, managing communications strategy and advocacy campaigns focused on global health and environmental policy. Working with partners including the World Health Organization (WHO), the Institut Pasteur de Dakar, the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC), and the Milken Institute, she supported workstreams and developed editorial content to advance program goals.
Pamela’s writing portfolio includes published feature stories for which she received awards including a Golden Quill Award by the Press Club of Pennsylvania for both a Magazine, General Feature and Business/Technology/ Consumer Feature, and a Vann Media Award of Excellence issued by the Black Media Federation. She is also the recipient of an Outstanding Achievement Award for Popular Annual Financial Reporting issued by the Government Finance Officers Association of the United States and Canada.
Pamela holds a Master of Public Policy from the University of Pittsburgh’s Graduate School of Public and International Affairs and a BA in Communication from the University of Pittsburgh.
