Nick Maschari

SENIOR VICE PRESIDENT, MISSION NORTH

Nick Maschari is Senior Director of Business Development & Marketing at Purple Strategies, a boutique strategy and communications firm, where he leads the company’s client growth, brand and marketing initiatives. He was also previously interim-Chief Operating Officer of the Future Caucus, and currently serves on Future Caucus’ Board of Directors as Chair of the Governance and Nominations Committee. 

Nick has built his career working with some of the largest communication, media, and marketing firms including Manifest LLC; Atlantic Media Strategies, the consulting arm of the Atlantic Media Company; and APCO Worldwide, one of the largest independent strategic communication and public affairs firms in the world. In his roles, he has had responsibility for global business development and integrating practice groups and offices around the world. While with APCO, he spent much of his time based in the Arabian Gulf region, where he led capacity building and business development training programs for teams in the region, and helped open the firm’s office in Doha, Qatar.

Earlier in his career, Nick worked for DFS Group Ltd, a subsidiary of global retail conglomerate Moet Hennessy Louis Vuitton (LVMH), where he was based in Hong Kong. His work with DFS focused on corporate development with an emphasis on emerging markets and market entry in Asia, Oceania and the Middle East.

In addition to his service on Future Caucus’ Board of Directors, Nick is the Board Chair of ProjectCreate, a Washington, D.C.-based arts non-profit focused on delivering art instruction and education for youth and families experiencing homelessness.

Nick graduated cum laude from the Reed College of Media at West Virginia University with a BA in Journalism. He resides on Capitol Hill with his wife, Kelly, a third-grade teacher with DC Public Schools, and their son, Bennett.
