Isaiah Burroughs
Strengthening Democracy Graduate Fellow
Isaiah Burroughs is a Strengthening Democracy Grad Fellow for Future Caucus. In this role, he manages and enhances the Democracy pillar of our Innovation Lab. He works closely with lawmaker fellows, experts, and stakeholders to facilitate discussions and drive collaborative initiatives within the program.
Isaiah is a J.D. candidate at the Marquette University School of Law in Milwaukee, WI, and a policy intern with Generac. He has previously worked for the Republican National Committee and the Wisconsin GOP as a Regional Engagement Coordinator, focusing on African-American outreach, and a War Room Analyst during the 2020 cycle at America Rising, focusing on Senate campaigns. He has also worked for the National Conference of Bar Examiners and Leadership Connect, a D.C.-based information services company where he focused on the Department of Homeland Security and USPS.
Isaiah has also served three terms as an elected official in the D.C. government as an Advisory Neighborhood Commissioner, representing Catholic University and the surrounding area. There, he also served as the Commission’s secretary.
Isaiah holds a Bachelor’s degree in Politics from The Catholic University of America in Washington, D.C. Originally from the D.C. area, Isaiah enjoys reading, trying the best Old Fashioneds around Milwaukee, and playing guitar.
