Rebecca McWilliams is a licensed architect, attorney, and NH Representative, serving Concord since 2018. She serves on the House Science, Technology, and Energy Committee; the House Special Committee for Childcare; and the House Legislative Reform Working Group. Rebecca was the prime sponsor of legislation to update the state’s outdated building and energy codes, which when passed updated the code standard from IBC 2009 to 2015. She sponsored the “fourplex is a house” HB44 in the 2023 Session and will be presenting the “duplex is a house” HB1399 in the 2024 Session. Rebecca continues to work on modernizing our state building, zoning, parking, and housing standards, including increasing energy efficiency in new construction, incentivizing solar for homeowner associations, and supporting the transition to electric vehicles. Rebecca and her husband have three children, five cairn terriers, run a compost operation, grow Christmas trees, and live on a farm in Concord, NH.
