INDIANA FUTURE CAUCUS ANNOUNCES NEW LEADERSHIP FOR 2024 LEGISLATIVE SESSION

Representative Beau Baird (R) and Representative Maureen Bauer (D) will lead the caucus in the Indiana Legislature

INDIANAPOLIS (January 29, 2024) — Today, the Indiana Future Caucus – a bipartisan caucus of Gen Z and millennial legislators – announced that Representatives Beau Baird (R) and Maureen Bauer (D) will be leading the caucus in the state legislature. 

Indiana is among 33 state chapters and over 1,800 young lawmakers in Future Caucus’ national movement of young elected officials collaborating to forge common ground. The young lawmakers who are a part of the Indiana Future Caucus help build efforts that bring civility to the political discourse and prove that good governance begins with meaningful collaboration. 

“As co-chair of the Future Caucus, I’m thrilled at the opportunities that 2024 holds. My commitment to fostering critical conversations and finding common ground remains unwavering,” said Rep. Baird. “The importance of something like Future Caucus is to continue to build those relationships across the aisle, allowing us to have conversations and come together on forming the best policies for Indiana.”

Last summer, the Indiana chapter hosted Future Caucus’ national conference, Future Summit, which brought together nearly 70 state legislators from across the country for a weekend of policy discussions, leadership development, and networking.
