Rep. Shirley Arriaga

MASSACHUSETTS future caucus, CO-CHAIR (D)

Rep. Shirley Arriaga represents the 8th Hampden district in the Massachusetts House of Representatives, covering part of the city of Chicopee. The fourth of five children, she grew up in Chicopee and served in the United States Air Force for 10 years from 2010 to 2020. Following her military service, she worked as a teacher at Chicopee High School before her election to the state legislature in 2022. She has also worked as a Veterans Liaison for Congressman Richard Neal (D-MA).

Rep. Arriaga holds an A.A. in Liberal Arts and Science from Springfield Technical Community College, a B.A. in legal studies from Elms College, an A.S. in Aerospace, Aeronautical, and Astronautical Engineering from the Community College of the Air Force, and an L.L.M. from Western New England University.
