Senator Natalie Murdock

Sen. Natalie Murdock has represented District 20 in the North Carolina Senate since her appointment to the seat in 2020 and her subsequent re-elections in 2020 and 2022. Her district contains all of Chatham and part of Durham counties. She is the youngest black woman to have ever served in the North Carolina Senate. Before joining the State Senate, Sen. Murdock was Deputy Director of Communications for the North Carolina Department of Justice and the principal and chief strategist for Murdock Anderson Consulting.
Sen. Murdock earned her B.A. in Political Science and Communications studies from UNC Chapel Hill.
