Representative Geran Tarr
Alaska Future Caucus, Co-Chair (D)
Born in Akron, Ohio, Rep. Tarr has served Alaska’s 19th District since 2013.
Tarr received her Bachelor’s degree at Ohio University and Master’s in Public Administration at University of Alaska Anchorage.
She serves as Co-Chair of the House Resources Committee and is a member of the Armed Services, Fisheries, and Health and Social Services Committees.
In her spare time, Tarr serves as Adjunct Professor at University of Alaska Anchorage and is a Delegate on the American Council of Young Political Leaders. Tarr also serves as a Founder and Member of the Anchorage Farmers’ Market.
Tarr has been named Top 40 Under 40 by The Alaska Journal of Commerce and the 2013 Alaska Youth for Environmental Action Legislator of the year.
