Future Caucus Gift Acceptance Policy
Future Caucus solicits and accepts gifts that are consistent with our mission to foster cross-party dialogue, develop effective leaders, and produce durable policy outcomes to better benefit future generations.
In particular, we recognize corporations as key contributors to our economy, culture, and civic engagement process. To engage corporate partners while preventing undue influence, our leadership and board provide the following guidelines for corporate giving.
Future Caucus welcomes and can accept both unrestricted and restricted corporate contributions to support our programs, events, and caucuses. Contributions may be acknowledged through web pages, reports, marketing materials, event signage, emails, and verbal remarks, as mutually agreed upon. Key giving areas in which corporate contributions may be accepted include:
- General support (unrestricted gifts)
- Training and educational programming
- Future Summit and other events, such as dinners and award ceremonies
- State caucuses within our State Future Caucus Network
- Congressional Future Caucus
- President’s Circle Membership
Future Caucus cannot accept corporate contributions for policy sessions that may pose a conflict of interest (e.g., a banking company funding a session on banking reform).
Future Caucus acknowledges that there may be some contributions that do not fit into the above categories. Contributions outside these categories are subject to review by the President and CEO. Contributions exceeding $500,000 require Board approval. Gift acceptance does not imply Future Caucus’ endorsement of the donor’s policies or positions.
