Senator Laura Wakim Chapman (R-WV)

Laura Wakim Chapman is a West Virginia State Senator representing District 1: Hancock, Brooke, Ohio, and part of Marshall Counties.

She lives in Wheeling with her husband of thirteen years, Matthew, and their two children, Jackson and Eloise. She graduated from Mount de Chantal and West Virginia University. She is the daughter and granddaughter of veterans and a constitutional lawyer who fights for our First and Second Amendment rights in court.

She decided to serve so the people in the Northern Panhandle have an effective voice and will not be forgotten. She currently serves as the Senate Health Chair where she pushes for legislation to make West Virginia healthier by providing more access to healthcare at a lower cost.  West Virginia was the first state in the nation to ban harmful food dyes.
