Communications Intern

Catherine Nichols is the Communications Intern for Future Caucus, the largest nonpartisan organization of young lawmakers in the United States. Future Caucus works with over 1,900 Gen Z and millennial elected leaders in Congress and state legislatures to bridge divides, collaborate on future-oriented policy, and scale a healthy culture of democracy.

Catherine is a sophomore at Smith College, where she studies Government and Religion, with a specific interest in political journalism and how religious and political agendas intertwine. She is a frequent contributor to the news section of the Smith student newspaper, and has experience in business and nonprofit copywriting, as well as newsletter editing.

In her free time, Catherine loves to read, walk dogs, paint, and collect vintage beanie babies—she’ll almost always have one or two in her bag.
