Senator Breanne Davis

Arkansas Future Caucus, Co-Chair (R)

As an Arkansas State Senator for District 16, Breanne Davis serves approximately 90,000 people in all of Pope and Newton counties and parts of Boone, Carroll and Van Buren counties.

Senator Davis first took office after winning a special election in 2018 to represent District 16 in the Arkansas Senate. During the 2019 regular session, she co-sponsored laws expanding broadband Internet access in municipalities and rural areas, strengthening investigations into maltreatment at long term care facilities, and clarifying the implementation of the Arkansas Casino Gaming Amendment. She loves serving as a senator because of its diversity and has been surprised by how much the senators get along despite differences in policy, philosophy, and political party.

Prior to running for office, Senator Davis managed employee benefits and insurance program for more than 50 employees at Blackstone Construction LLC and worked as an account executive at SAS. Alongside her professional career, she was highly involved in local politics and the school board, serving for nearly 10 years on Russellville’s School Board of Education in roles from secretary to communication liaison to president. She lends her professional expertise to several committees, providing leadership to the Legislative Council’s Higher Education Subcommittee, the Senate Committee on Transportation, Technology and Legislative Affairs, the Joint Budget Committee, the Senate State Agencies and Governmental Affairs Committee, and the Senate Interim Committee on Children and Youth.

She holds an M.S. in Community Economic Development from the University of Central Arkansas and a B.S. in Speech Communications from Arkansas Tech University. Having grown up in Russellville, she is passionately involved in her hometown community, volunteering with Fellowship Bible Church, Partners Against Trafficking Humans, Russellville Downtown Master Planning Committee, and Leadership Russellville. Breanne, her husband John-Paul, and their four children live in Russellville.
