December 10, 2024
Bipartisan program empowers Gen Z and millennial lawmakers to drive progress on key issues facing their constituents
WASHINGTON—Sixty-four Gen Z and millennial state lawmakers have been selected for the second cohort of Future Caucus Innovation Fellows, representing 34 states. These emerging leaders are united by a commitment to bridging political divides and advancing solutions to pressing issues in their communities.
This year’s fellows will explore one of four focused policy tracks: Civic Innovation, Energy & Environment, Prenatal-to-Three, and Criminal Justice. The program offers access to expert briefings, an expansive library of evidence-based policy resources, hands-on learning trips to innovative organizations, and opportunities to collaborate with peers tackling similar challenges nationwide. Fellows will also convene in Washington, D.C., for Future Caucus’ signature Futures Thinking Forum, where they will envision forward-looking approaches to today’s most urgent issues.
“These remarkable young lawmakers show what Future Caucus is all about—working together across party lines to create policies that truly help all Americans,” said Layla Zaidane, president and CEO of Future Caucus. “Their diverse backgrounds and experiences highlight the power of curiosity and collaboration in driving progress for our country. We’re excited to welcome the second class of Innovation Fellows and provide them with the tools and skills they need to tackle the challenges of policymaking today.”
