Representative Kanani Souza

Kanani is a licensed attorney in the State of Hawai’i and Washington D.C.  From K-6th grade, Kanani attended Maryknoll Grade School.  She is a 2003 Kamehameha Schools’ graduate.  

Kanani holds a B.A. from the University of Southern California in political science with a minor in cinema/television, a Master’s degree in education (curriculum and instruction) from Chaminade University, a Juris Doctor from the University of Hawai’i, William S. Richardson School of Law, and a Master of Laws in Environmental Law, Natural Resources Law and Energy Law from Lewis and Clark Law School.  Kanani also recently completed her LL.M. in Air and Space Law from the University of Mississippi School of Law.

Kanani has worked in the public sector and in private practice.  She was also a Lecturer at the University of Hawaii, West O’ahu where she taught business law.
