Senator Erin Maye Quade (D-MN)

PRENATAL-TO-THREE | FELLOW

During her time as a Minnesota State Representative, Senator Erin Maye Quade has taken on lots of tough fights, even when others told me to stand back or sit down. When she was elected in 2016, she was the only Democrat to flip a State House seat from red to blue. In office, she advocated for the critical policies our community needs, from paid family leave, to expanding access to affordable child care, ending childhood hunger, eliminating gun violence, fully funding public schools, and serving our veterans. She is proud to say that she successfully passed bills through a Republican controlled House. She intends to continue to be a champion for our community and all Minnesotans in the State Senate.

She and her wife, Alyse, live in Apple Valley with their newborn daughter, Hattie, and their two rescue dogs, Jeffers and Sota.

Currently, she serves as the Advocacy Director at Gender Justice, where she works to advance gender justice through public education, strategic partnerships and coalition-building.
