Millennial Action Project announces new co-chairs of the Congressional Future Caucus

Washington — Millennial Action Project (MAP) announced today that Reps. Blake Moore (R-UT-01) and Sara Jacobs (D-CA-53) will serve as the new co-chairs of the Congressional Future Caucus, the only group of bipartisan legislators under age 45 in Congress. The caucus is focused on bridging partisan divides and creating policy-driven solutions for the next generation of leaders.

“At a time when our national politics have become increasingly polarized, it’s inspiring to see these young legislators come together to model what it truly means to be in public service,” said Layla Zaidane, President and CEO of Millennial Action Project. “Our country faces urgent issues, and the status quo does little to advance meaningful change. We need leaders who can create bold coalitions to unlock creative solutions, and I can’t wait to see what Reps. Jacobs and Moore will accomplish together as co-chairs of the Future Caucus.”

The new co-chairs will lead a national movement of young legislators to break through partisan gridlock and usher in a new day of political cooperation. Under their leadership, the Congressional Future Caucus will focus on issues disproportionately affecting the younger generations, including democracy modernization, sustainable energy solutions, and technology.

“I am honored to serve as Co-Chair of the Congressional Future Caucus and advocate for millennial interests in Utah’s First District and around the country. This bipartisan caucus will work on solutions that serve our generation as we seek to rebuild our economy, strengthen our workforce, and reverse our federal debt. In order for the U.S. to remain the world’s most dynamic economy, Congress needs to put country first and forge bipartisan agreements on budgets, infrastructure, immigration, and growth. I am grateful to the Millennial Action Project for creating bipartisan forums to discuss our country’s biggest challenges and engage young people in public service,” shared Representative Blake Moore.

“As the youngest member of the California delegation and the third youngest member of Congress, I’m proud to serve as the Democratic Co-Chair of the Congressional Future Caucus. Millennials and Gen-Z are starting their careers, their families, and their adult lives in a world that is dramatically different than previous generations, and I’m proud to be part of a young, bipartisan cohort in Congress making sure that our policies – from the economy to foreign policy – reflect those changes. I look forward to working with my Co-Chair, Congressman Moore, and the entire Congressional Future Caucus to center youth voices in Washington,” added Representative Sara Jacobs.

Leading bipartisan solution-making on the national and state-level, MAP is excited to continue the work with new co-chairs in the 117th Congress as we build a new era of collaborative governance.
