Senior Manager, Membership

Xavier Lopez is the Senior Manager of Membership for Future Caucus, the largest nonpartisan organization of young lawmakers in the United States. Future Caucus works with over 1,900 Gen Z and millennial elected leaders in Congress and state legislatures to bridge divides, collaborate on future-oriented policy, and scale a healthy culture of democracy. In his role, he directly supports a growing national network of over 1,900 young legislators, providing unique opportunities for network-wide engagement and supporting these policymakers to forge productive bipartisan partnerships on critical national issues across state lines. 

Xavier most recently worked as the Investor Relations Associate at New Profit, a philanthropic organization committed to catalyzing the impact of social entrepreneurs and high-impact organizations that are expanding access and opportunity in America. Previously, he served as the Economic Mobility Policy Associate at America Forward, a policy initiative of New Profit, where he specialized in issues such as workforce development, higher education, social innovation, and democracy. Advocating on behalf of a coalition of over one hundred nonprofits across the US, he introduced draft legislation to Congress to support the incorporation of the America Forward Coalition’s collective recommendations on SNAP, PSSG, and WIOA. Xavier also served as the State Organizing Committee Chair and National Liaison for Texas with the Country First PAC, focused on overcoming toxic partisanship with a proven-solutions-oriented approach in America, as well as serving as a member of the Alumni Advisory board for Up to Us/ Net Impact. 

Xavier is an Up To Us Civic Engagement Fellow, a The Fund for American Studies (TFAS) alumnus, a Ronald Reagan Institute (RRI) Fellow, and a professional Deliberative Dialogues Moderator and Trainer. He has facilitated 100+ Deliberative Dialogue forums nationwide on topics such as national debt, free speech, gun control, border security, and more in partnership with the National Issues Forums Institute. As a staunch advocate for civic engagement and bipartisanship, Xavier is dedicated to promoting a more effective Democracy through Civic Engagement and Proven Solutions. His efforts in this space have been recognized by the Clinton Global Initiative University as a young person who consistently places policy over politics.

He currently holds an Associate of Arts from Lone Star College.
