Maya Mukherjee

Communications Intern

Maya Mukherjee is the Communications Intern for Future Caucus, the largest nonpartisan organization of young lawmakers in the United States. Future Caucus works with over 2,000 Millennial and Gen Z elected leaders in Congress and state legislatures to bridge divides, collaborate on future-oriented policy, and scale a healthy culture of democracy. In her role, Maya is primarily responsible for interviewing, drafting & editing stories for our Young Lawmakers Storybank articles.

Previously, Maya has interned for Public Citizen’s Democracy team, working to organize nationwide efforts to strengthen the United States’ democracy. She has also worked as a Communications & Marketing intern at a therapy company based in California. 

Maya is a rising fourth-year at Northwestern University. She is majoring in Journalism, Political Science, and History.
