Digital Intern

Dara Pershing is the Digital Intern for Future Caucus, the largest nonpartisan organization of young lawmakers in the United States. Future Caucus works with over 2,000 Gen Z and millennial elected leaders in Congress and state legislatures to bridge divides, collaborate on future-oriented policy, and scale a healthy culture of democracy. In her role, she supports Future Caucus’ digital efforts by owning the creation of graphic designs, social listening, and capturing content for social media.

Dara is a rising senior at Syracuse University, majoring in Information Management & Technology, and Visual Communications.

As the child of a military family, she has lived in California, Alaska, Alabama, Florida, Virginia, and now, New York. Growing up in so many different places exposed her to a wide range of cultures, perspectives, and ways of communicating. That experience has shaped how she thinks about information, connection, and design. It’s what led her to pursue a path where technology and communication intersect—two fields that play a crucial role in how people understand each other and the world.

She is passionate about using both design and technology to create meaningful, accessible experiences. Outside of school Dara love movies, theater, and video games which are creative outlets that continue to inform her work and perspective.
