Millennial Action Project hires Layla Zaidane for Chief Operating Officer

Fast growing bipartisan non-profit adds top millennial to leadership team

WASHINGTON, DC — The Millennial Action Project (MAP), an organization dedicated to activating young policymakers across party lines, announced today that Layla Zaidane will join MAP’s leadership team as the Chief Operating Officer. In this role, Zaidane will manage MAP’s operations, oversee staff developments, and lead engagement and planning with the Congressional Future Caucus, among other various responsibilities. Zaidane comes to MAP from Generation Progress at the Center for American Progress.

MAP President and Co-Founder Steven Olikara expressed “I’m thrilled to welcome Layla to the team and look forward to working alongside her as we continue to grow the Millennial Action Project across the country. Bringing tremendous energy, enthusiasm, and expertise, Layla will play an integral role in taking MAP’s work to the next level.”

Zaidane joins the MAP team with a wealth of knowledge and experience in management and program integration.  Most recently, Zaidane served as the Managing Director for Generation Progress where she led integrated communications, policy, and advocacy efforts around solutions to the challenges facing today’s youth.  She also helped launch and manage the It’s On Us campaign in partnership with the White House in 2014, in addition to the Higher Ed, Not Debt campaign in 2013.  Most recently, she was named by Fusion as one of 30 Women Under 30 Who Will Change the Election.
