MILLENNIAL ACTION PROJECT ANNOUNCES ITS 3RD ANNUAL NATIONAL WEEK OF ACTION, LARGEST BIPARTISAN GATHERING OF LEGISLATORS UNDER 45

WASHINGTON, D.C. — Today, the Millennial Action Project (MAP), a nonpartisan, nonprofit organization for the nation’s leading young policymakers, kicked off its 3rd annual National Week of Action, an annual event to catalyze and amplify efforts to bridge political divides and foster meaningful collaboration. From March 14-18, MAP will host a series of virtual and in-person events focused on the importance of elevating Millennial leadership and legislation for the nation’s largest voting block. Full event details can be viewed here.

“The next generation of policymakers is not waiting around to take action,” said Layla Zaidane, President & CEO of Millennial Action Project. “ The leaders of today will steward the future of our communities and our country. Millennials are the best positioned to give us the perspectives necessary to solve the problems of today and 30 years from now. Our National Week of Action is the only space where legislators from across the political spectrum can come together to discuss what they want that future to look like, and what they’re doing today to make it a reality.”

During the Week of Action, MAP’s network of over 1,600 Millennial legislators will share innovative policy ideas and highlight critical bridge-building work in their respective states. The schedule of events includes a legislators-only virtual media and messaging training, a women’s roundtable in honor of Women’s History Month, a cross-state Twitter chat, the launch of Georgia’s Future Caucus, and a panel on mental health and work-life balance, Health is Wealth: Lessons Learned from Athletes Turned Legislators, with former college athletes who are now state legislators.
