On Friday, January 6th, 2017, Next Generation Nebraska, a bipartisan group of state legislators under age 40, convened for a press conference to announce that they are joining the Millennial Action Project’s national movement of politically diverse young elected officials forging common ground. The group, led by Senator Adam Morfeld (D-District 46) and Senator Brett Lindstrom (R-District 18), addressed issues impacting young Nebraskans and also identifed policies that will work to retain and attract millennials to the state. Nebraska is the 15th state to officially join MAP’s network.

LINCOLN – The Nebraska Legislature’s youngest members are banding together to work on issues that help recruit and retain young people. The Legislature’s 11 state senators under age 40 – about a quarter of the 49-member body – on Friday announced Next Generation Nebraska, a bipartisan group meant to look at issues faced by millennials and future generations.
