America needs leaders who reject the cynicism and hyperpartisanship of this moment in favor of something more ambitious: solving our most urgent challenges with a spirit of political entrepreneurship that builds broad coalitions and expands what is politically possible.

Honorees are not content to succeed in the system as it is. Through their leadership, not only do they creatively forge relationships which allow them to get results today, but they model an approach which can improve how our democratic institutions serve the American people. 

This year, Future Caucus will present the Jacob K. Javits Prize for Bipartisan Leadership at our annual Rising Star Awards in November. The Javits Prize is awarded to Members of Congress who have bridged partisan divides on issues of urgent national concern, resulting in legislative achievements that advance the public interest.
