“Some of California’s youngest legislators from both sides are launching a brand new caucus. The leaders say they often worry less about politics and more about just getting some results. Some members have already worked together to co-author legislation.
Assemblyman Ian Calderon (D) said, ‘It’s about making the tough decisions today to make sure that ten, 15, 20 years down the line the policies that we crafted here, the decisions that we’ve made here are going to make it better not just for one group not just for one party, but for everyone.’
The California Future Caucus is one of nine others around the country so far.”
