MILLENNIAL ACTION PROJECT ANNOUNCES HIRE OF REGINALD DARBY, FORMER DEPUTY CHIEF OF STAFF AND L.D. FOR CONGRESSMAN GREG STEUBE, AS ITS FIRST-EVER VICE PRESIDENT OF PROGRAMS
WASHINGTON, D.C. — As first announced by POLITICO Playbook earlier today, the Millennial Action Project (MAP) is hiring of Reginald Darby as the organization’s first-ever Vice President of Programs. Darby brings over 10 years of experience on and around Capitol Hill, and will join the MAP leadership team in its mission to build political bridges and revitalize American politics with its nationwide coalition of young, bipartisan lawmakers.
Darby most recently served as deputy chief of staff and legislative director for Congressman Greg Steube (R-FL) and Congressman Scott Taylor (R-VA). While managing his legislative staff, Congressman Taylor was one of the most bipartisan members of the 115th Congress, according to the Lugar Center.
“I could not be more excited to have Reginald joining our team,” said Steven Olikara, founder and CEO of MAP. “Reginald has a proven record of leadership and an impressive ability to reach across the aisle to get things done. As MAP’s first-ever Vice President of Programs, Reggie will create meaningful impact through our Future Caucus model at the state and Congressional levels, and will oversee MAP’s policy work. We’re proud to have Reggie on board as MAP continues to grow, and I look forward to working with him to expand our work with Congress.”
“I am both grateful and excited to join the team at the Millennial Action Project and continue the important work of fostering meaningful relationships and uncovering innovative solutions for the benefit of our democracy,” said Reginald Darby. “I have committed my professional career to building political bridges, engaging policy makers at the highest level of government, and being a voice of reason in an increasingly polarized and challenging environment. I look forward to achieving the mission of MAP while facilitating political progress in a post-partisan manner.”
The move comes as MAP continues to grow and ramp up its operations ahead of the November elections. MAP recently released their P.E.E.R to Peer Playbook which offers common-sense, bipartisan solutions to the problems posed by COVID-19 to election systems. MAP is also hosting their annual Future Summit virtually on August 7th—the event’s fourth iteration—where leaders from across the country will convene to help one another build political bridges and pave the way for a new generation of bipartisan leaders.

In 2013, MAP organized America’s first-ever bipartisan caucus for young members of Congress, the Congressional Future Caucus. Shaping the next generation of leadership, MAP’s Future Caucus Network has expanded into nearly 30 state legislatures and grown into the largest nonpartisan organization of millennial elected officials in the U.S.
